There is no game. There is nothing to do. Do not click or tap anywhere. DO NOT CLICK OR TAP ANYWHERE. Do not laugh as there is nothing to laugh about. *Sorry for my weird foreign accent*:) *06/29/15: some bugs fixed / better object drag&drop system* *06/30/15: added jokes and hints for the ladder part*. Just start searching your registry for the game's folder / file name and do some snooping from there. (or just google search for it - I'm sure someone else has found it's location ). Niagara94 Dec.

Most Steam games don't have any CD keys. Everything is attached to your account and can be downloaded and run inside the client, and most games require no extra verification - the Steam client itself is sufficient.
For the games that do have CD keys, right-click the game in your library and click View CD key.
This will show a dialog with your CD keys for the product (actual keys redacted here):

Steam will also show a reminder on the Steam Overlay when you launch the game, allowing you to access the keys from within the game. Here, you can also tell Steam to not show this reminder again (in case you already entered the key inside the game, or if the game doesn't actually use the key).

If a game requires a CD key, you can right-click the game in your games list and select 'View CD key'.
Not all games have this option. If, for some reason, you need the CD key of a game which does not have this option, I suggest contacting Steam Support about the issue.

In the eve of 2019 I couldn't find this setting in the context menus for some reason, but can see it currently present under Links category of a game:

One of the first things you do when installing a game on your computer is enter a serial number or key code. Without it, you can't activate the game. If you are positive you have lost your serial number or key code you aren't completely out of luck—yet. There are a couple of methods you can use to locate it.
Check Your Computer's Registry
There's a good chance you can find a stored serial number in the Windows Registry, so check to see if the key code is still there. Even if you uninstalled the game, an entry with the serial number may still be in the registry. Be careful not to delete any entries while in the registry, or you may have problems getting your other programs to run.
Go to Start and click Run. Type in regedit and click OK to open the registry. Search for the game's title using CTRL+F, and click F3 to continue the search if the title doesn't show up on the first page of results. Look in the data column for a long string of numbers and letters that looks like a serial number. Write it down or copy and save it.
